I am the Collection Management Librarian at Northern Michigan University. In this roll, I work with the subject liaison librarians and technical services staff to develop and assess Olson Library’s physical and
electronic collections. I am also the subject liaison for the departments of Sociology and Anthropology, English, and Languages, Literatures and International Studies (LLIS).
I have a Masters in Library and Information Science and a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology, both from Syracuse University. My research interests revolve around questions of work and identity. In my dissertation, I examined the ways in which tourism work both constrained and empowered rickshaw drivers working at Keoladeo National Park, Rajasthan, India. My current research focuses on the experiences of faculty members’ attitudes towards open educational resources at colleges and universities in Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois.
Outside of work, I love watching baseball, experimenting in the kitchen, backpacking, and gardening.
